“Keep singing, keep performing, and keep writing so one day that’s the only thing I need to build a life on.”
That’s what Lilly Moss will tell you is her dream for the future.
Though Lilly is currently a student at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, her future – just as she’s dreamt it – already seems to be shaping up quite nicely. The rising country artist just released her highly anticipated debut album, Meet Me on Broadway.
Meet Me on Broadwayis available on all DSPs now.
“Writing this album stemmed from my desire to document dreams, feelings, and scenarios all within the melody of a song,” shares Lilly.
“The album has some happy songs and some love stories. But there are also some songs that are deep, gritty, and emotional. No matter what you’re going through or what situation you’re in, you’ll be able to find something you can relate to.”
Produced by Grammy-nominated Dan Malsch of Soundmine Studios – and a dream team of musicians including Johnny Nova, AJ Larsen, and Angelique Buckley – Meet Me on Broadwayfeatures the previously released title track as well as the singles “Trigger,” which All Country News called “an explosive anthem of empowerment,” and “Heartbreak Summer,” which was featured on Spotify’s “All New Country” playlist.
Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Lilly’s love for music began in early childhood. Music, in fact, played a vital role in saving her life. At just three years old, Lilly was diagnosed with leukemia, spending much of her time in a hospital room where music became her escape.
Lilly began to follow her passion for music in the sixth grade when she signed up for vocal lessons. By eighth grade, she was playing the piano, and by 16, she was writing her own music, drawing inspiration from artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Billie Eilish, and Adele. At 17, Lilly found the confidence to perform live for the very first time.
In 2023, Lilly released her first batch of original songs, recorded with the aforementioned Dan Malsch of Soundmine Studios. These songs garnered over a quarter million plays and placed Lilly on a variety of editorial and algorithmic playlists across digital streaming platforms.
Though 2023 was a fruitful year for Lilly, 2024 has seen many of her dreams come true. Earlier this year, Lilly performed for a sold-out crowd at the Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Hearts of Gold Gala, where her mosaic artwork brought a winning bid of $20,000 for the foundation. She also performed at Musikfest, the nation’s largest non-gated free music festival, PA Bacon Fest, Easton’s Live at Falls Concert Series, and the Sherman Theater Showcase as a special guest of Hayes Warner.
Lilly was a semi-finalist in the 2024 Unsigned Only Music Competition and won the Linny Award for “Emerging Artist of the Year” by the Artquest Foundation this year.
Now, with the release of Meet Me on Broadway, Lilly can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
“I truly believe this is just the beginning,” says Lilly. “Making this album was such an amazing learning experience. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it. But I’m also anxious to take everything I’ve learned and apply it to my next project.”
